Trollywood

Last night I finally got home and feel onto the couch pretty late, flicked on the TV and once again ABC2 came up with the goods. Something completely honest and real was on… Trollywood is a documentary film about homelessness in LA with some US stats thrown in along with some interesting facts on New York and how they deal with homeless people. Trollywood is directed by first-time British filmmaker Madeleine Farley, who used to be the girlfriend of Duran Duran keyboardist Nick Rhodes according to the internet movie database… rad huh?!

A quick wiki search and I found out im not the only one who likes it. The film was nominated for Best Documentary at the British Independent Film Awards 2004 (but lost to Touching the Void), but won for Best Documentary at the Cinemanila International Film Festival. This is a powerful film and you should go watch it now.
